General

Cub scouts are for boys and girls aged 8 to 11 years.

Meetings Times: 6:30pm-8:30pm Monday nights

Cub Scout Promise

The Cub Scout Law

About Cubs

  • A Cub Scout pack comprises of young people who have turned 8 years old but are not yet 11 years old.
  • A Sixer and a Second lead Cub Scout Sixes.
  • Cub Scout leaders can be men or women.
  • Cub Scout Leaders and Assistant Leaders are known by names from the Jungle books by Rudyard Kipling or Australian animals
  • At each meeting Cubs take part in various activities including:
    • Badge work / Boomerang work
    • Handcrafts
    • Games
    • Singing

Badges

There are 34 achievement badges in 4 different categories:

  • Arts and Literature
  • Nature, Science and Technology
  • Sports and Recreation
  • Our World

Fees

Registration

$100.00 per child paid when your child first joins. This covers scout registration and accident insurance.

Weekly Subs

$8.00 per child. This is due each week that we meet, 40 weeks per year. Even if your child misses a week your child's subs are still due. The group will pay your registration renewal.

The Uniform

The Cub Scout uniform should always be worn in a neat and tidy manner and with pride.

The Scout uniform for Goodna includes the section shirt, scarf and woggle, and navy blue or black shorts, pants or skirts.

Enclosed shoes are mandatory for safety reasons.
