Welcome to Goodna Scout Group
General Information
Scouting helps young people to develop confidence, self reliance, good friendship and a concern for their community. The Scout Program is designed to encourage the physical, intellectual, social, emotional and spiritual development of young people.
Goodna Scout Group was established in 1969 and it currently consists of the following sections:
Joey Scouts (aged 6 to 8 years)
Development of caring and sharing.
The program is for 1 hour each Tuesday from 6pm to 7pm. In addition, occasional activities are held on weekends.
Cub Scouts (aged 8 to 11 years)
Development as a team member.
The program is for 2 hrs each Monday from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.In addition there are some activities held on weekends.
Scouts (aged 11.5 to 15 years)
Development of leadership skills.
The program is run for 2 hrs each Thursday from 7pm to 9pm. In addition there are some activities held on weekends.
Venturer Scouts (aged 14.5 to 18 years)
Strong development of community involvement.
The program is run for 2 hrs each Friday from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. In addition there are some activities held on weekends.
Rover Scouts (aged 17.5 to 26 years)
Development of service to the community
This group runs a program that is devised by its own members.
