About Venturers

A Venturer Scout Group comprises of young people who have turned 14.5 years old but are not yet 18 years old.

Venturers meet at the Goodna Scout Den on Monday nights from 7:00 - 9:00 pm.

You can try out Venturers 3 nights for free before making the decision to become invested. For more information please come along on a Monday night and have a chat to Leader Scorpio (Katrina).


The Venturers have different awards they can earn:

  • Endeavour Award.
  • Venturer Award.
  • Queen's Scout Award.

$185 per child paid when your child first joins. This covers Scout registration and accident insurance.

Weekly Subs:

$10 per child. This is due each week that we meet, 40 weeks per year. Even if your child misses a week your child's subs are still due. The group will pay your registration renewal.

The Uniform:

The Venturer uniform should always be worn in a neat and tidy manner and with pride. The Scout uniform for Goodna includes the section shirt, scarf and woggle, and navy blue or black shorts, pants or skirts. Enclosed shoes are mandatory for safety reasons.

Group Committee

The group committee is a group of parents who help raise runds to run the group and to support the leaders in their voluntary roles.

We need YOU! All parents are encouraged to attend monthly meetings. Without your support we cannot run.
